Poor old Numbum gets driven hard, fast starts, quick gear changes, even snatching first on steep climbing hairpins. All the things you would expect to snap a shaft. The shafts have been loose in the hubs, glued into the hubs and welded into the hubs but they've never let go in ten years of driving. I've recently bitten the bullet and replaced the old knackered shafts now, but I'm hanging on to the old ones as spares, but if past experience is anything to go by, I won't be needing them.
What's your experience with halfshafts? Is the weakness there or is is just a claim by those who sell 'uprated' shafts?
