Up early to load the TA then do the 'Butterflies shuffle'. Anybody who remembers that TV series will know what I'm talking about. Move two cars off the drive, get Numbum out of garage and onto the road. Put two cars back on drive. It's fun trying to do it quietly so as not to disturb the neighbours.
Finally sorted, It was time to head off down the A19 for the 40 mile trip to the start at York. This is a long drag in the TA and we were glad to get to the start. We signed on and collected our plaque and paperwork and then took some photos.

It was a good turn out of over 80 cars ranging from a 1932 F Type to a new MG3.
It was a good turn out of over 80 cars ranging from a 1932 F Type to a new MG3.
The day started out a tad on the cool side but by the time we got to the finish at The Yorkshire Air Museum, it was almost tropical. Entry to the museum was included in the entry for the run. What a bonus. Thanks to Pam for some of these pictures.
After a couple of hours enjoying the museum and chatting to fellow travellers, it was time to head for home.
To avoid the boring A19 we decided to take the scenic route via Helmesley and Stokesley and found that we followed the first part of the run route which was great for Pam as she saw all the things she missed while navigating.
Finally, back home, it was the reverse of the 'Butterflies shuffle', unload the car and settle in for the night. Another 175 miles on the clock.
