We didn't make the final 15 to go to public vote so no chance of any money this year. I'm still keeping on with the planning with a view to doing this trip next year. If we enter the competition again it will be a bonus if we win next year.
For a while now I've had the idea in my mind to take the TA and drive round the coast of mainland Britain using roads as close to the coast as possible. Recently there was a competition which will give funding to the winner. I've entered and my entry has been accepted. There is a long way to go as entries have to be selected to go to a public vote. If I get that far I'll be begging for your votes. I'll update as I get more news.
As part of the planning for this I need to know how far I'm going to have to travel so with an atlas and mileage calculator, I've made a start.
Even if I don't win, I may attempt this anyway when funds allow.
