We left a bit earlier than out planned time and had an uneventful time until we overheated on the road to Tan Hill. This was strange as old Numbum just doesn't overheat. Thankfully, good friends Peter & Judith supplied us with some water which enabled us to get to the Tan Hill checkpoint. A great marshall supplied us with enough water to fill the radiator and we set off again.
The run to the finish was plain sailing apart from the rain which came down in the last hour of driving. The newly fitted wind wings did a very good job of reducing the amount of water that used to come round the side of the windscreen. A worthwhile buy.
A wet finish meant that we didn't hang about and set off for home as soon as we had signed off. The overheating issue never appeared again. Thinking about it, it was probably my fault as I don't remember checking the water in the morning and it was probably a bit low before we started.
