Once again, not many miles on the BGT as we headed for Castleton to see some caverns.
The first one was the Blue John Mine which was quite interesting but by heck, what a lot of steps. Going down wasn't so bad but coming back up was a different thing altogether.
To get to it we had to go up Winnats Pass.

After seeing the mine we found a cafe for lunch and had a wander about., and found these two beauties.
Peak Cavern was next on the list. This is a great cavern with the largest natural cave entrance in Great Britain. This entrance was home to rope makers who supplied the miners with their wares.
Getting to the cavern was a walk though the lovely narrow streets of Castleton.
