A group from The Lincolnshire Centre of the MG Car Club were passing through our area on their way to a short break in Northumberland and we arranged to meet them.
They were travelling up to Helmesley and on to Stokesley before picking up the A19 northbound. Just outside Helmesley we were surprised to find them all parked by the roadside about half a mile from our planned meeting place. The farm shop & cafe we planned to use was closed. Sorry about that folks.
It was decided to head towards Stokesley and find a pub for lunch. The road is a good driving road with some lovely views and we had a steady drive down to Great Broughton where we pulled in to the Bay Horse.
Good food and great conversation followed until it was time for them to hit the road again after a group photo.
