The MGB passed it's test but it was an expensive bit of welding. I just have to build up the reworked cylinder head and get it fitted. That was the planned next job.
I took the TA to the welder to get the strengthening plates for the back axle welded in. More cracks were found so that job took longer than expected and more money spent.
Today I decided to do the pre season oil change on the TA and found a lot of water and emulsified oil. It looks like the head is coming off that as well.
TYO, the MG3 has the air bag warning light coming on intermittently. A call to the dealer revealed that it's a common fault often caused by something being under the passenger seat and to get in touch if it came on and stayed on. We've removed the brolly and time will tell if that was the cause.
Hopefully this seemingly endless stream of problems will come to an end soon.
