I'd noticed on our way home on Saturday that the ammeter wasn't registering any charge, but was showing discharges. First job this morning was to sort that. I put the meter on the dynamo and it appeared that it had no output. I reset the polarity and hey presto! charging again. Thank goodness for that. I had visions of wallet emptying if the regulator had failed.
Once the charging system was back in order we set off for a drive. With no particular destination in mind we headed for the North Yorkshire Moors and meandered around in brilliant sunshine. It was one of the few days we get where I could comfortably drive in a short sleeved shirt.
We ended up in Rosedale Abbey where we stopped for coffee and ice cream.
We took a more direct route home and as we looked across to the coast it appeared that it was misty in that direction. As we neared home the temperature dropped a few degrees but it was still quite comfortable. Another 120 miles of running in. I'm getting bored with pootling about but it won't be long before normal service is resumed.
