When we woke we felt as though somebody had been throwing grit in our eyes. Oh! Hang on! Somebody had and used rally cars to do it. That and the itching from the midge bites were the penalties for a good day out. Well worth paying.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway had a steam day today so we spent an hour at Pickering Station and enjoyed ourselves.
As Goathland was on our way home we called in there, had a bite to eat, and strolled down the hill to the station. Once again, thanks to Pam for some of the pictures.

We spent an enjoyable couple of hours, even including the walk back up the hill from the station. An ice cream was the treat of the day and we set off for the liesurely drive home and the mundane of unpacking the car.
